Super Mario Galaxy Film Teaser Is Here, Unveiling Fresh Faces Rosalina & Bowser Jr. Voice Cast
The collaboration between Nintendo and Illumination shared the first full-length trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie this Wednesday. This occurred during a dedicated Nintendo presentation that focused exclusively on the forthcoming animated feature.
The follow-up to the 2023 blockbuster The Super Mario Bros. Movie, this latest chapter will propel Mario to the outer limits of the universe. In his journey, he meets a new princess and a formidable new rival in Bowser Jr., the heir to Bowser's throne.
A Cosmic Adventure Drawing from Beloved Titles
Similar to the Wii console classics that provide its foundation, Mario will leave behind the familiar comforts of the Mushroom Kingdom to travel across the galaxy. On his epic voyage, he will meet again some well-known personalities, including the Luma, a fan favorite from the previous film.
However, it seems Mario and his brother Luigi will face a fresh enemy in the form of Bowser's furious offspring, who apparently utilizes powers related to metal. Notably, the preview for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is not only concentrated on visuals from the Galaxy games; it also contains hints to other beloved games like Super Mario Odyssey and Bowser's Fury.
All-Star Vocal Ensemble Come Back and Grow
The feature will welcome back of the initial voice actors, including Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek.
Joining the cast for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie are Brie Larson, who will bring to life Rosalina, and Benny Safdie, set to play Bowser Jr. The casting was verified by Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri.

Mario's latest cinematic adventure is scheduled to arrive close to the 40th anniversary of the first Super Mario Bros. title. In addition to the movie, 2026 is shaping up to be a important time for Mario and his friends.
Nintendo has a trio of new releases officially announced for that year, such as Mario Tennis Fever, a version for Switch 2 of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and a latest Yoshi adventure game titled Yoshi and the Mysterious Book.
