Tuchel Questions Wembley Crowd Support Despite Comfortable Win Over Wales.

The England head coach shared his disappointment that the Three Lions team did not receive stronger encouragement from the home fans during their impressive 3-0 friendly victory on Thursday night.

Tuchel was satisfied to see his squad maintain their strong performance, with finishes from Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins, and Bukayo Saka inside the initial stages deciding the contest. But, he was not content with the mood at the iconic venue.

“With limited sessions to get ready against a drilled team and we performed excellently,” the coach remarked. “We could have been 5-0 up at the break. We couldn’t score the additional goals. There was little noise. There was no support back from the stands. Our team gave their all to win.”

“How much more can you give in 20 minutes? We prevented them escape. If you hear just the Welsh supporters for half an hour, it’s regrettable because the team earned greater backing today.”

“I support my words. We cannot do more than being 3-0 in a derby. I hoped for a little more backing in moments where it is challenging.”

“In the second half, to get behind us, there was excessive support for Wales. It might have aided us to refocus, but it is what it is and so be it.”

Selection Choices Vindicated by Display

Apart from risking a dispute among supporters, Tuchel also caused a stir by leaving out Bellingham and Phil Foden from his squad. Yet the choice was backed up by Morgan Rogers delivering another standout performance in the attacking midfield role and netting his first international goal.

“That’s his style,” the head coach said. “He is a No 10 and he is competing for his position.”

Bellamy Seeks Improvement from Defeat

The Wales manager expressed hope that Wales, who host Belgium in a crucial qualifying match on Monday, learn from their poor performance in the opening period.

“That’s the reason I wanted this friendly,” Bellamy stated. “I wanted to assess our current level. Where do we want to go? Who do we want to be? Today gives me drive.”

Injury Concern for Striker

Ollie Watkins was withdrawn at the break after colliding with a goalpost and may miss out when the national team play Latvia in Riga in a World Cup qualifying match on next week.
